Nirex' ace in the hole?
In 1990 Private Eye ran a story which suggested that the new Parys Mountain mine on Anglesey should be watched carefully. The contractors for the development were Cementation Mining Ltd, contractors for Nirex at Sellafield and Dounreay, and the unusual design of the mine was not entirely dissimilar to that of a nuclear waste dump.
